Fiscal Harmony Warranty Policy (Zimbabwe)

WARRANTY POLICY – FISCAL HARMONY

This Warranty Policy applies to all clients who purchase Ingenico devices from Fiscal Harmony. By purchasing a device, the client agrees to be bound by the terms and conditions set forth below from the date of purchase.

1. WARRANTY PERIOD

1.1. All devices purchased from Fiscal Harmony carry a one (1) year limited warranty starting from the date of purchase.

1.2. This warranty covers manufacturing and hardware defects under normal use.

2. THE WARRANTOR

2.1. Clients acknowledge that Fiscal Harmony is not the warrantor. The warranty is provided and guaranteed by the local accredited Ingenico supplier: Veritran Pvt Ltd T/A ZSS (the “Supplier”).

2.2. Any approval or rejection of a warranty claim is at the sole discretion of the Supplier and/or Ingenico.

3. WARRANTY CLAIM PROCEDURE

To initiate a warranty claim, the following mandatory steps must be followed:

3.1. Device Check-In: The client must return the faulty device to Fiscal Harmony’s premises. Upon arrival, a technician will complete the Device Check-In List.

  • The technician will inspect the physical state of the device (including impact damage, screen condition, and liquid indicators).
  • This inspection must be conducted in the presence of the client.
  • The Device Check-In List must be signed by both the technician and the client to confirm the physical condition of the device at the time of return.

3.2. Internal Assessment: Fiscal Harmony will conduct a preliminary assessment to determine if the issue can be resolved via software troubleshooting or if it requires escalation to the Supplier.

3.3. Escalation to Supplier: If a hardware fault is suspected, Fiscal Harmony will facilitate the transfer of the device to the Supplier.

  • The Supplier will assess whether the issue is a software error or a hardware fault.
  • If a hardware fault is confirmed, the Supplier logs a warranty request with Ingenico.

3.4. Resolution & Replacement: If Ingenico approves the warranty claim, they will notify Fiscal Harmony and issue a replacement device. Fiscal Harmony will then notify the client to collect the replacement unit.

4. EXCLUSIONS FROM WARRANTY

The warranty does not cover:

  • Physical damage (cracked screens, dents, or casing damage).
  • Liquid ingress or moisture damage (as indicated by the internal Liquid Damage Indicator).
  • Damage caused by power surges, fire, or theft.
  • Unauthorised tampering, opening of the device, or attempted repairs by third parties.
  • Damage to accessories (cables and docks) caused by wear and tear or misuse.

5. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

5.1. Fiscal Harmony is excluded from liability of any sort regarding broken, damaged, or faulty devices.

5.2. Fiscal Harmony acts solely as an intermediary between the client and the Supplier/Ingenico.

5.3. Fiscal Harmony shall not be held liable for any loss of business, data, or revenue resulting from device downtime during the assessment or replacement process.

5.4. All sales are final; no refunds are issued for faulty hardware that falls under the manufacturer’s warranty replacement process.

6. COLLECTION OF DEVICES

6.1. Upon collection of a repaired or replacement device, the client is required to sign the “Declaration” section of the Device Check-In List, confirming the equipment has been returned in satisfactory condition.
